Muttii Partners with Toyota Gazoo Racing WEC to Drive AI Excellence
The name Toyota is synonymous with motorsport and endurance racing. The renowned Japanese marque has excelled in this field in recent years, claiming the prestigious World Endurance Championship (WEC) in 2014 with Anthony Davidson and Sébastien Buemi at the wheel, and more recently in 2018/19, when Buemi was once again triumphantly partnered by Fernando Alonso and local favourite Kazuki Nakajima.
Regarded as one of motorsport’s premier championships, the WEC competes on some of the globe’s most celebrated circuits, including Silverstone, Fuji, Sebring, Spa-Francorchamps, and, naturally, the 24 Hours of Le Mans. At this iconic venue, Toyota claimed victory on the past two occasions and now aim to secure a third consecutive title this year with the TS050 Hybrid.
Toyota Gazoo Racing will leverage Muttii’s expertise in machine learning and artificial intelligence to process vast amounts of racing data for car development. Muttii will also support the analysis of wind tunnel data, speeding up aerodynamics projects across the team’s race car fleet.
